Awesome New Band

Hehehe... well let's not go so far as to say awesome, but...

Way back when I mentioned that my friend Dan and I were in a band of sorts and that we'd been working on material. Well that's sort of steadily been going on for about a year or so and we're finally feeling happy about some of the songs we've got, and we're slowly recording them on our own. We finished one last night called "There's A Light" and here it is! Hopefully you'll at least find it entertaining, and if not well, you know what they say... those who can't play, critique.

We call ourselves Chris & Doug [there is a story there, but trust me, it ain't that intriguing].

It's definitely a step in the right direction. Probably the most polished song I've ever heard from you guys. The drumming is much tighter and Dan's voice has an Interpol-like quality.

hey thanks, anton. a compliment from you is worth twice as much. we definitely took more time scrutinizing ourselves on this one than we had in the past.

you ever throw those vocals onto that song we sent you?

i'm at work now, but i'm really excited to go home and listen to this. congrats on beginning the recording process :)

p.s. i'm going to sxsw this year! i'm so excited! if you have any recommendations of bands we "must" see... send 'em my way. top of my list (in case you're interested) is Horse Feathers. if you've not heard 'em and even kind of like folk music... you gotta check them out. one of my new favorite bands.
